Natsuko Toyofuku - Enamel Bubble Earrings, Silver
Each jewel is first created by hand by making a wax model. If it is a unique, i.e. unrepeatable, piece, the model will be given to the caster for casting with the lost wax technique, but if it is a jewel to be reproduced several times, it will serve as a matrix to obtain a rubber cast. Once cast in silver or bronze, the piece passes raw into the hands of a goldsmith who will clean it in all its parts, work it with abrasive paper, assemble it if necessary and polish it. These steps are done using the experience of Italian craftsmen and the finishing work is done manually one by one. For this reason, even if made in small series, each jewel will never be the same as the other.
These jewels are nickel free to prevent allergic reactions. Bronze can oxidize because it is sensitive to the pH of the skin. For cleaning, you can use a normal metal polishing product, then wash with neutral soap, rinse in cold water and dry carefully.
